1st–Initiative taken to meet your Customer’s ever changing expectations.

Challenges faced by specific client - A big multinational FMCG company faced a problem of non-placement of vehicles & delays in deliveries with other  transporters which caused it huge losses but VIL dedicated staff and huge fleet  and strength overcame all the problems.

Solutions provided / Suggested by VIL - VIL always believed that no matter what area you’re working in, your future will be determined by the innovation and initiative you take today. VIL has always looked beyond conventional boundaries and thought big in meeting customer expectations which was proved by giving 99% Placement Reliability & 97% Transit Reliability to its customers . While providing the same we always had a risk of delays and vehicle breakdowns which could cause us huge penalties in form of non-placement and delays in delivery charges . Meeting 99% deadlines in itself was a unique thing which broke the conventional thoughts about transporters in India as earlier delays and non-placements were part and parcel of the job .

Final Outcome - Customer was gradually benefitted as all this improved its supply chain process and he got the indent well on time plus the losses were gradually reduced.

2nd-Reducing the time limits of Road movement through Express service by calculating delivery time in hrs.

Challenges faced by specific client - A tyre company based in South was delivering tyres to a automobile company based in Gurgaon . At that time there was a shortage of radial
tyres in India which was hampering the production of automobile company.  The reason was that the transit time Ex Pondicherry to Gurgaon was of 7days plus the additional delays
in supply added to the customers problems.

Solutions provided / Suggested by VIL - We tried hard in reducing the time limits of Road movement from Ex-Pondicherry to Gurgaon through Express service by calculating delivery time in hrs and we managed to  reduce it  from 7days to just 72hrs . It was successfully implemented it by giving out of the box incentives to the drivers and plus rewards to fleet staff which automatically motivated them to perform extraordinary. Plus we used latest technology which actually was a backbone for the entire process.

All this could be monitored through :-

  1. Through GPS technology in every vehicle
  2. Dedicated fleet team
  3. Handsome rewards to drivers on every delivery
  4. Daily MIS to clients on vehicle location ( Daily Basis )

Final Outcome - The automobile company got its material on time and its production cycle smoothly functioned which gradually reduced its losses plus the
tyre company could send its material well on time . All this broke the conventional thoughts about the delivery delays.
